So this weekend I offered two free photography sessions, one completely outdoors, the other completely in studio. The person originally scheduled to do the studio photography actually cancelled on me (crazy right?) anyway, two friends of mine from high school managed to come up last minute to take some photos. The first set I did with them are posted below for your consideration. Let me know what you think.

Random Movie Fact: In the 1999 film The Green Mile, originally, Tom Hanks was going to play the Old Paul Edgecomb but the makeup tests didn't make him look credible enough to be an elderly man. Dabbs Greer was cast instead as the older Paul Edgecomb.

Defender's Day

So yesterday I took a bunch of pictures of Defender's Day at Fort Howard State Park. It was my first year going and it was a cool experience. I hope next year I can stay until the actual battle but this year was still a lot of fun. Posted below are the pictures from the event for you consideration, let me know what you think.

Random Movie Fact: In the 2005 film The Squid and the Whale, Noah Baumbach originally wanted Wes Anderson to direct but Anderson convinced Baumbach to direct it himself, due to the film being very personal to Baumbach.

Photo Day!

So today was officially photo day to say the least. In the morning I went to Defender's Day at Fort Howard Park which is an annual reenactment of the Battle of North Point during the war of 1812. I went up to take cool photos and see the sights. It was a lot of fun and the costumes were amazing, the actors really made everything look authentic...if it was just them there I would have thought I just went into a time machine. It was a fun time for sure, kinda stinks I couldn't stay to see the whole battle reenactment but I had to go off to another photoshoot. The second shoot today was originally supposed to be headshots for an actor but they ended up cancelling due to an emergency. So I was left with a studio I reserved but no photos so I frantically hit up everyone on my phone to take photos. Finally two old friends who are dating now took me up on my free photo offer so I managed to get them to swing by and take photos of just him, and them together as a couple. It was a win win win for everyone, they got free photos, I got to use a studio setting for the first time, and also got to take portrait/couple photos for the first time so I got a lot of experience out of it. Today was a good day with lots to do, tiring but rewarding.

Random Movie Fact: In the 1992 film Dead Alive or Braindead, 300 liters of fake blood was used in the final scene of the film.

Changes...

So I have been talking an awful lot about changes coming to To Tony Productions, but haven't really been vocal about what that means. Well I am here to say that TTP will no longer be doing any commercial style video. This means from now on you won't see any music videos or corporate pieces or promos with the TTP logo on it. The one...possibly two music videos I have already started the process with will still bear the TTP name on it but after that no more. Now that does not mean I am giving up on the commercial end, no...I am instead starting a new venture with a few friends of mine which will be set up just for commercial video production. This means all that we do for clients will be under that name. Where does that leave To Tony? Well I am switching my focus to where I have wanted it to be for a while now for one we are doing photography which is to say we will be doing photo work based around clients as well as selling prints of past work to people and the second thing is focusing on only cinema production. With photography as the everyday business and true movie production To Tony Productions I think will do better than ever. My mindset is best served in cinematic production, not commercial based production. TTP isn't going anywhere it is just back to its roots and with a new direction and focus things are going to be better than ever.

Random Movie Fact: In the 2012 film The Dictator, the always lifted point finger of Aladeen was inspired on Cuban dictator 'Fidel Castro' who is always pointing in his speeches.

Luke!

Today is yet another day for more pictures! Yesterday evening I ran down to a friend of mines house to take pictures of his Jack Russell terrier named Luke. I have known Luke since I was a kid and he is now an old dog. Since he is old his health is starting to decline so I figured I would do something nice for my friend and try to take some great pictures of the dog before he gets much worse. I was hoping to sort of capture the dogs spirit in the pictures, which in some cases I think I do. Have a look at the pictures, I hope you enjoy them and any feedback as always is awesome!
