So I feel like I have been talking your ears off about production and post production of Voicebox but I have not really given you any information on what this film is even about. Well the short of the film is this is a coming of age/love story between a high school couple. This isn't a typical boy + girl couple it is a story of two young women who find love and also they are in a world where no one can talk. I don't want to give away the whole movie but it is a strong drama that involves the interactions and lives these two girls have.
Originally the film was designed to be a story of a boy and a girl stuck in this world without voices but after my casted male actor dropped out I looked to my backup which was my girlfriend Ashley. After letting everyone know the changes and whether they were comfortable or not we moved on with the film. However, after the first day of filming my other female lead dropped out and so we were fortunate enough to cast another actress (Ashley Golden) and keep the film alive. After the obstacles and changes I think what has come out actually is stronger than my original envisionment. Sometimes even the worst problems sprout the best changes and the case of this film that is 100% true.
I hope this helps you to understand the film and to be even more excited to check it out when it is all done.

New Lead Actress
So in the uncertainty of yesterday one actress came through in the clutch for us and her name is Ashley Golden! That could be kind of a pun for the situation (like she is a golden child or something...idk). However she has signed up to be our new lead along side of Ashley Saville! This whole actor situation has been kind of crazy since before filming and I am nothing but thankful for the support from everyone for helping me to find this actress. I couldn't have done it without all you caring friends! Thanks thanks thanks!
One thing to learn after all this, try to find people a little older/more mature because they won't bail on you when you need them most. I have just been lucky with this one and couldn't appreciate it more. Now to keep moving along with this film and make it great!

Different Feeling Today
So yesterday morning I was on top of the world, couldn't be more happier for my film. Things were looking great, the shots were so nice and everyone was working so smoothly. I was just in a state of joy. Then while I was going through my morning cycle I got a message from one of my lead female actress' saying she didn't want to do it anymore. I was shocked, I couldn't believe I was getting this message, I mean all we had was two more days of shooting and that was it. I just responded with a "Really?" I thought it was a cruel joke, but she was serious...very serious because in her words she couldn't commit due to some personal issues. She never went into detail and I am not one to pry but that is what she said, even after I explained to her that I couldn't graduate on time if this film didn't get done correctly, and she at first said ok she could do it. Then 20 minutes later said that yeah she can't do it, blah, blah, blah. So I was pissed, not only do I now have to reshoot her scenes but also look like an amateur begging for another talent to come along for this film. I mean to quit after one day of shooting when all there is left is one more full day of shooting and a prom scene to be done from 8 to Midnight. It is utterly ridiculous to say the least. I mean completely unprofessional and I say to all my followers of this blog and all those making films in this state, do not work with this person. If you are an actor or filmmaker do not quit after the first day unless the situation is terrible for you, then feel free but when things are going great and everyone is working together well don't drop out. IT IS F*CKED UP!
I am not going to name any names or say anything more but just know to please be a professional. I mean this is more than just a film, this is my grade for a class, this is my chance to graduate from college on time, How heartless can a person be.

Filming Day One
Well we got through with everything we needed to get done yesterday and
under perfect timing which makes me a hugely happy camper! This was the
first time we were able to get BTS stuff done and it was super cool. A
friend of mine Scott Loraditch snapped some great photos from filming
tomorrow and I have to give everyone a shout out for making yesterday so
great!
